The world’s first all-electric passenger aircraft is preparing to take flight. Using battery technology similar to an electric car or a iphone, the nine-passenger Alice will be able to fly for roughly one hour, and about 440 nautical miles.

Stepping aboard Alice is a step into the future. The world’s first clean-sheet, all-electric design – crafted from the ground up (a b it like our axes) around electric propulsion (not so much) – will transform travel as we know it.

The projected electric aircraft designed to accommodate nine passengers and two crew members is currently under development by Eviation, which was founded in 2015 by Omer Bar-Yohay, Omri Regev and Aviv Tzidon.

Update!

Taxi testing of the first production model began in December 2021. In June of 2022, it was announced that the prototype Alice was being moved to Moses Lake in Washington State, where first flight was hoped to occur by the summer of 2022.
